Duncanville ISD's new athletic director meets staff at Duncanville High School

Clint Harper joined the Duncanville ISD family this week as the district’s new athletic director.

“I am very excited to be in the City of Champions,” Mr. Harper told the Board of Trustees at Monday’s regular meeting. “I cannot tell you the pride and honor I feel standing here in front of you.”

Mr. Harper comes to the district from Marshall ISD, where he was the athletic director and head football coach. Prior to that he was in Leander ISD as a head football coach and campus coordinator. Mr. Harper earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University.

At the close of the board meeting, Mr. Harper shared his personal experience seeing Duncanville teams competing at a high level and winning championship over the years.

“I saw how great the program was in Duncanville, where you are building champions. That’s something I’m very passionate about…not just on the court and the football field, but we are going to build champions for life.”

Mr. Harper is scheduled to start his new job on February 27.
