DHS Future Educators Advance to State Competition

Students from Duncanville High School’s Education and Training program advanced to the state competition after winning at the regional contest in Mesquite on November 18. The students, who are studying to become teachers, competed in categories including “Impromptu Teaching” and “Planning a Lesson”. Eighteen of the 38 DHS students who participated won their categories at the regional Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) competition. 

 

The state competition, the Texas Tomorrow Summit, will be held January 29 through February 1, 2016 at the University of Houston. View photos and a list of the winning categories below.
