Made With Pride Honorees for November 2015

It's time to celebrate the Made WIth Pride in Duncanville teacher, staff and student honorees:
Teacher
Kabriel Lynn is the health teacher at Bilhartz Elementary. Don’t let this woman’s small stature fool you. Ms. Lynn’s hard work and dedication are a big influence on Bilhartz. In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Lynn is the Drama Club sponsor and instructs Yoga and Zumba classes for the staff.  But it is her work as the Community Events chairperson that sets her apart.  Ms. Lynn has managed to develop a strong partnership with our PTA parents. Her leadership has been a large factor in Bilhartz going from ZERO PTA members to over 300 in a 4-week period. That high level initiative and commitment are just a sampling of the reasons why Ms. Lynn was selected as the “Made With Pride in Duncanville – Teacher of the Month.”

Staff
Sherri Lackey is the registrar at Fairmeadows Elementary. Mrs. Lackey puts 100% effort into everything she does. It is very possible that she knows all of the students in this school. Mrs. Wilson said that when she is given a student's name, Mrs. Lackey is capable of providing the student’s grade level and teacher. She is so reliable that Mrs. Lackey is also the "go-to" person for many people all across the district. Mrs. Lackey is the MASTER Registrar for sure, but that's not her best quality. She should be recognized for her HUGE heart. She loves and cares for all of our students. Students know that they can come into the office for hugs, encouraging words, and support. Because Mrs. Lackey is such a valuable asset to Fairmeadows and the entire district, she has been chosen as the Made With Pride in Duncanville – Staff of the Month.”

Student
Delaney Todd is a senior who has been a starter on the varsity softball team since she was a freshman. She was also in band for three years. AP and/or Honors classes have been the bulk of her schedule every year. This year she is in four AP classes, one Honors class, in the Ambassadors class and still playing softball. She plays softball outside of school year around and volunteers whenever and wherever she is needed in and out of school. She has a bright personality and is usually smiling. In school she is a great role model for her peers as she puts academics first and always sets good examples by doing what she is supposed to and following the rules. On the softball field she is one of our captains and leaders. She leads both verbally and by action. She is a great all around person and is “Made With Pride in Duncanville-Student of the Month.”
