• Duncanville High School 2017-2018 Grading Guidelines

     

    Course/Subject: FAST- Department/Grade Level: SPED/ 9-12th          

     

    Extra Credit: As a FAST department, we are choosing to opt out of extra credit.

     

    Late work: We will accept late work up until the LAST day of the grading period. Students will earn a maximum of a 70.

     

    Grading Policy:

    Progress Monitoring:

    According to School Board Policy EIA (LOCAL) we allow a students a reasonable opportunity to make up or redo a class assignment or examination for which the student received a failing grade. At Duncanville High School, students shall be permitted a reasonable opportunity to redo an assignment or retake a test for which the student received a failing grade. Describe how a student will be given the opportunity to redo an assignment or retake a test for which the student received a failing grade.  Please specify the following information:

     

    1. Timetable- Student will have opportunity to redo an assignment or retake a test for which the student received a failing grade within the progress reporting period (every three weeks).





    1. Calculation of Grade- Calculation of grades (at the discretion of teacher) will be a combination of academic and IEP goals. When given daily assignments, students will receive the highest grade of the attempts given.





    1. Activities that demonstrate mastery-Activities will be determined based upon IEP goals and/ or TEKS.
