  • Parent Survey  Parent Survey - Technology & Learning (BrightBytes)

    We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research organization, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning. We are reaching out to ask you to take part in the Technology & Learning questionnaire. The questionnaire should take about 5 minutes to complete.

     

    Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in your students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy. The last day to complete the questionnaire is midnight on Tuesday, December 19th.

  • Candy Cane Image Candy Cane Grams on Sale Now!

    Buy Holiday Candy Cane Grams to send to a friend, teacher or someone special—Only $1.00 each! You will have the opportunity to make your purchases in the mornings now through Dec. 19th. The grams will be delivered to classrooms on Wednesday, Dec 20th. All proceeds will support the Daniel Intermediate Youth and Government Club.

  •  Holiday Choir Image   Choir Performs Winter Program

     

    Please join us on Tuesday, December 19th, for the Daniel Choir's annual Winter program. The choir will perform a selections celebrating the winter season and there will be a special appearance by the 5th Grade Honors Recorder Band. The choir will be under the direction of Ms.Twynnette Anderson.

     

    The performance will be held in the Daniel Intermediate Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. and is free of charge.

  • Holiday Sweaters Special Holiday Dress Code

    Students are invited to celebrate the holiday season at school by participating in Daniel's special dress code on Dec. 18-20.

    Monday: Ugly Sweaters! Wear your favorite ugly sweater with dress code pants, skirts or dresses.
    Tuesday: Festive Tops and Accessories! Wear a holiday shirt, socks, jewlery and/or hat with dress code pants, skirts or dresses.
    Wednesday: Pajama Day!  W
    ear long pajama pants/sweats/sweat/joggers bottoms and an appropriate shirt/sweat shirt (cotton or flannel material only) – no nightgowns, housecoat, tank tops, or see-through clothing are to be worn. 

    A few rules for the different themes for each day:

    1. No Shorts or leggings are ever appropriate at Daniel
    2. If you don’t want to participate in wearing the theme clothing each day, then you will need to be in regular dress code.
    3. Anything that is worn must be appropriate for school–if it is questionable, then don’t wear it.
    4. If parents have any questions, please call the school at 972-708-3200.

Principal Message

School History

  • Daniel

     

    H. Bob Daniel Intermediate opened in 1988, and was renovated in 2004.  The school was named for former school board member H. Bob Daniel.  The school serves grades 5-6.

     

    H. Bob Daniel, Sr.

    Henry Bob Daniel, Sr. was born on his pioneer family’s farm in the Duncanville area in 1914. He attended Duncanville School and graduated from Lancaster HS in 1933. Active in the community, he served on the Duncanville ISD school board from 1949 to 1955.
